The forests whisper the Tale. The rings of life form the core of every
tree, built one layer upon the next, and if you listen, you can hear
the Tale. It is a story of woe and hope: tragedy for what was lost,
joy for what was saved, and a longing, a deep longing, for what may
yet come again.
I am Lorian dun'Gaetos, a dabbler in history and lore, a lover of stories.
On these scrolls I do my best to echo the Tale I have heard. We are
a long-lived people, and our memories sink down into the years like
the roots of a great tree, finally tying one to another as they intertwine
and bind to one another beneath the great forest floor of time. I myself
am young, without the benefit of the years. Yet I do seek to educate
myself, and to put here in this new form of writing some of the old
Tales as they are told to me. Please do contribute your Tale too, if
you have one, that your own life may be seen as tied to that of the
others.
Please be patient as I work to compile these stories here. I am most
interested in tales of our interactions with the dwarves in the mountains
to the north of Myrk'ilShin, and the Thooms to our East.
