| Circa 2000 BA |
First evidence of The People on Shan Deral. Possibly small groups, coming from a forgotten western continent, land on the western shore of Llun'naimur (Moon Wood) and Norlan (Inland Valley). |
| 2000-1500 BA | The People expand east into the plains and establish Nyarl, Loras, Marle and Yamar territories in the plains.
F'fain'haur established as central city for the plains territories. |
| 1500 BA | Human, Dwarf, Sylvan and Halfling exodus from Eastern Continent arrive on Shan Deral. Expansion of People's territories to south of Norlan. Territories of Khym'nahr, Tau'rann and the peninsula of Pyan'sharr are established. Muran'narrhm'ha becomes major established prowl/city on western coast. |
| 1200-890 | Agriculture and animal husbandry become an integrated part of The People's life. The fertile western part of the lands in Khym'nahr and Tau'rann are most successful. Hunting and meat remain the staple of fen diets, but is no longer sole means of nourishment. |
| 1185 BA | First (distant) sighting of Halflings, eastern border of Marle |
| 1150 BA | Legendary first hostile contact with humans on southern border of Norlan. No actual evidence exists. |
| 890 BA | The People/Halfling Dispute. Dispute settled and border of Marle is established west of central river to allow Halfling to farm fallow land. Trade established. |
| 665 BA | First Human Raid (called the First Unification War by Humans) Repelled with relative ease. Held along eastern border of Norlan and a small part of Yamar. Some minor trade established with Humans following. |
| 660-655 BA | First Plains war. Yamar and Marle clash over territory. The Mounds of Mahn'ha'ur run red with fen blood for 8 seasons. Plains territories of Yamar, Loras, Marle and Nyarl establish treaty and unify in 655. |
| 652 BA | Human Greed Rush. Humans invade southern edge of Norlan attempting to wrest gold mining from fen, but are defeated. |
| 649 BA | The Hills/Plains Conflict. With a unification of the Plains territories, expansion into Norlan is attempted. |
| 647 BA | The Hill/Plains War. The conflict escalates. The south eastern edge of Norlan is set ablaze to try to drive the Hill fen out. The prowls of Norlan unite to face the oncoming Plains armies. |
| 642 BA | The Battle of Llun'ehrran. The most bloody conflict of the H/P War fought to a standstill at the river Llun'ehrran, settled by Hill general Jalil'tak (G6 grandmother of Chil'tak). The Treaty of Jalil'tak is signed. |
| 642-350 BA | The First Peace. Cooperative establishment throughout all People territories promote cultural and civic growth. Trade with Halfling and Humans expanded. |
| 524 BA | The People develop The Senate. Royal Highborn rule is maintained in the territories, but a Senate is developed for representation of all People. Peaceful unification of The People's Nation is established. |
| 349 BA | Second Human Raid (called Second Unification War by Humans) After plotting for decades, Human militias advance on eastern borders of Norlan, Yamar and Khym'nahr. In the face of huge opposition numbers and mounted, armored forces, The People are able to counter but not defeat Human forces. The People take large losses of life. |
| 345 BA | High-Norlan fen discover new method of metallurgy. The resulting metal is folded and forged to create a light blade of high strength and sharpness, surpassing the arms of the Humans. |
| 344 BA | With the new weapons and tactics, the outnumbered fen press the Humans back to southern and eastern parts of Norlan, but are unable to repel them. The fighting is continued by the Humans in a series of forays. |
| 330 BA | High-Norlan fen create armor-piercing arrowheads. Human invasion begins to buckle severely. |
| 329 BA | Battle of Norl'ehrran. People defeat last, large foray by Human army. Peace treaty with Humans is established. |
| 326-120 BA | The Second Peace. Some fen take to roaming the lands, trading art, music and dance, establishing diplomatic ties to other races. First contact with Dwarves, Sylvans and Thoom. All cultures appreciative of The People's high art and talent. Fen culture and art deepens and broadens. First amiable allowance of other races into deeper parts of fen territory. |
| 117 BA | The Yellow Death. Scores of fen die in the first year, mostly young and old. Many elder tradition-keepers die. A good amount of oral history goes with them. |
| 116 BA | The Senate creates the first Nation's Library. Tradition-keepers from all points of the Nation are brought and their stories are recorded.
More die from the Yellow Death. The death count decreases, fortunately. A ragged band of marauding Halflings led by one bandit starts to attack and plunder outlying prowls, weakened from disease. |
| 115-113 BA | The People slowly recover from the effects of the Yellow Death. |
| 97 BA | People forces aid in the capture of the Halfling bandit |
| 68 BA | In the ever-tumultuous Human territories, the newly established Darshak rule becomes difficult to deal with. Trade is stopped with the humans. |
| 2 BA | The Darshak Alliance is formed, which has hostile intent toward The People. Contact with Sylvans, Halflings and Thoom is ceased. Fen in other race territories are recalled. |
| 1 PA | The People's sources tell of Mobius and his army of mysterious Dark Sentinels sweeping through the eastern continent, felling the Darshak Alliance. The Nation's borders are closed, all non-fen are expelled. The People prepare for battle. |
| 7 PA | The Battle of Darkness. Led by numbers of Mobius' Dark Sentinels, seemingly all of Shan Deral's races descend upon The People's Nation. The battle is fought hard, but is on too many sides and the Sentinels prove unstoppable. Taking an eclipse in the midst of the worst fighting as an omen, The People's Senate surrenders to Mobius and the Ascendancy. The People's Nation is devastated and bereft by this defeat.
Four fen protectorates are formed by the Alliance: Arr'unko (Khym'nahr, Pyan'sharr), Fen'yarr (the Plains territories), Fen'norlas (Norlan, Llun'naimur) and Arr'shan (Tau'rann). |
| 8 PA | The Bleakness. Under the rule of Mobius, The People's once vibrant culture becomes grey. Certain types of dance, music and art are forbidden. The Senate is disbanded. Traditional Royal Highborn rule is allowed in some manner, but with oversight from Ascendancy established and fen-run bureaucracies. |
| 235 | Part of Fen'norlas is given to the Ghorak Zo. |
| 236 | The Uli Rebellion |
| 237 | The Uli Rebellion crushed. |
| 238 | Inquisitors freely roam The Nation. Prominent People start disappearing. There is hushed talk of exile to some far away isle of those who oppose The Ascendancy. |
