'THE DARK ONE'
[I am told an image exists; if anyone knows where it can be found, I'd be appreciative.]

    In 2401 BA, a cloaked figure appeared before the Zoran Council, claiming that the ongoing attack on the Homeland was the work of 'The Dark One', and that all Zo would be destroyed.  Given the reappearance of Ashim in undead form, it is often theorized that The Dark One may have also been behind the Nilaxan and the Brothers' War.  This theory is reinforced by the similarity between Ashim's final words and the parting words of the dark messenger; the complete message of the representative of the Dark One is as follows:

"The debt of ages will be repaid;
The Dark One prepares, yet now, for destruction.
The Tower of Light is fell;  The One has not risen.
Purge you of light, that you might not be swallowed by darkness,
And rid you of false virtue that purpose not find you lacked.
Through the hollow hills of your doomed land,
Let ring the call of the faithful:
G'an omus s'hey droy."

    Just as in the case of Ashim's final words, the phrase "G'an omus s'hey droy" has not yet been translated; research has shown it bears no resemblance to common, Thoom, Dwarven, Sylvan, Halfling,  or the language of The People.
